Ames, Iowa Aero Style Unisex T-Shirt
This design exhibits the vibrancy of the Ames, Iowa community, stylized in the Aero style, retroactively referred to by some as Frutiger Aero. The aero style was popular from the late 90s until the early 2010s, seen on popular operating systems such as MacOS X and Windows 7, and across many brands and websites. The aesthetic design style is characterized by glassy, translucent textures, bright reflective colors, and skeuomorphism, or the use of imagery mimicking real objects. The style ties with Ames in that the community sees a very large share of college students in its population, many of whom grew up in an era when the aero style was most popular.
